STDHelp offers advice on STD Symptoms 1

Aug25

We review sites a lot and medical care related sites are a huge concern in today’s industry because of the amount of webmasters trying to take advantage of people searching for things like STD advice, or STD related information. People will literately do anything to make a buck, and all our readers know this all too well.

For once though, we’ve come across a genuine, legitimate very helpful community/site that not only provides information related to STD Symptoms, videos, a community to interact with others and to anonymously, and somewhat openly talk about your issues, but an amazing place to learn more about STD’s in general! STDHelp.org provides users with an amazing experience, not only is the community one of the friendliest we have ever come across but it’s helpful, and their aim is to spread awareness. There are really no strings attached.

So for a site going out of it’s way to help, we thought we would mention that STDHelp is not only a legitimate STD related site with very useful information about STD’s but it’s also a great STDhelp community. While it’s still in its early stages, we see STDHelp doing great things, thumbs up from all of us at Watshit!

Phishers Attack Twitter 17

Apr11

Twitter is the new online fad, it’s the crazy these days and with a 55% increase in its userbase every single month it’s obviouse, twitter is taking over the world. Ok so maybe we exaggerate, but hey, 90% of those reading this post use twitter, and you’re all not aware of the dangers.

Phishers, scammers and hackers alike are always the first to take advantage of a new social network that’s exploding onto the scene, as is evident recently with many phishing attacks circulating around twitter. So here’s what you need to do to stay safe and to be sure you’re not tricked into losing your account!

Don’t use the same password on you twitter account and email address you registered with, if all else fails and you lose your twitter account to a phisher, you don’t want to lose your email too! Especially if it’s one that contains more important emails with login info to other sites, servers, maybe paypal details? Be very very careful.

There are many sites online now that grab your browser cookies and then extracting user info from it, sensitive information like email addresses, usernames and passwords so be sure to clear your browser cookies regularly.

One site that’s doing this is Stalk Daily now we wont link to this site and are asking you to please NOT visit it, as it’s run by phishers, a bunch of scum that are stealing peoples accounts on twitter in order to advertise their site and god knows what else. Instead, if you’ve been hit by these phishers please email phishing-report@us-cert.gov with information regarding their ILLEGAL activity. Explain how visiting their site led to them illegally accessing your twitter accounts and posting messages to advertise their services, which in turn attract other victims and so on.

Below is an excerpt from an article @KodeSpark wrote recently;

How do you protect yourself?

I can’t guarantee any of the methods outlined below but they should help

  • Do not visit the account’s page or the website stalkdaily.com
  • Do not browse twitter via your browser, use a client instead
  • Do not follow anyone ‘till the worm account is banned
  • Do not add the @ to stalkdailywoo if you tweet about it
  • Warn your followers about the #Hijack and send a @reply to twitter management

These people need to be stopped, and you need to be careful while using an ever growing service such as twitter, make sure you’re using a unique password for twitter only, and never EVER give any service that is not affiliated with Twitter your username and password. This goes for any service online, phishers are weakest when you’re being careful and don’t get fooled. Always check the websites URL to make sure it’s the site you’re meaning to log into and never give out your info to sites you’re not 100% sure about.

Jacob Cass as an example 0

I found a recent post on Toni’s blog to be very informative and it brought up some strong valid points about professional designers having the same inspiration sources. Jacob Cass was noted as having designed a similar logo to a previous 2 year old design. Regardless of whether he was inspired by it or not, Toni asks some simple important questions I think designers need to answer;

are designers so much alike that we can’t seem to come up with new concepts? Are we all so influenced by the same sources of inspiration? or are we now taking advantage of our high profiles and using that to bend the rules?

Good read, nice find, eye opening questions.

CSSAGlobal 39

Online scams come in many different shapes and sizes! This is the case in todays review. We received several emails claiming that CSSAGlobal.com was an online scam. Details of what took place and sums involved were included as well as an online search query showing 4, maybe 5 instances where such claims were made public by what it seams to be the same person.

Now normally we would not have bothered with this as the evidence is not at all outstanding, and we focus more on enlightening the general web public and warning them of mass scale scams and pointing out BlackHat Tactics to watch out for. However further inspections by Jason himself lead us to focus on the issue at hand and as we delved into it moren things started to unravel and a nice evil little plot revealed itself.

Usually when you hear someone cry out SCAM online, people scatter in all directions away from the so called ’scammers’. After receiving an email from the so called victim, in which this person contradicted himself several times mind you, we were forced to use them as an example. Contacting CSSAGlobal only proved Jason right, the Scammer in this case, was the said victim himself. This happens, and it’s not uncommon for the victim to win such cases by claiming a scam has befallen them. The scammer (unhappy client) emailed CSSAGlobal representatives threatening that this defamatory crusade would continue and he would go on to calling them scammers till the end of time, if a refund was not issued, this of course was well after the so called ‘victim’ went public with false accusations.

… our stand has been fairly justified and despite a thorough grudge and unrealistic approach shown towards us - with racist comments and unjustified demands, we have not bowed down to threats - Mandar (original quote)

This is to simply show people, that it’s not only companies that turn bad, unhappy or unsatisfied clients can turn into scammers too. This individual tried to soil the reputation of a company that would not cave in to ridiculous demands, in return CSSAGlobal by simply standing their ground and denying all allegations made against them proved these scammers wrong.

This should be an example to all those scammers who believe that by threatening to defame a company online one will get what they’re after. It’s not so, innocent people don’t plead guilty because they’re afraid of a little name calling, innocent people stand tall and prove their accuser wrong!

Customer service and customer satisfaction is a big thing for us, we definitely do our lot - Mandar (original quote)

CSSAGlobal have handled this issue the way professionals would, thumbs up to them! - Jason (watshit.com)
